One person is dead and five others injured in a car accident in Long Island, New York, according to Suffolk Country Police. A Toyota Tacoma which was going north struck a Toyota RAV4, as the RAV4 tried to make a turn on Route 110 in North Amityville around 11.50 AM Sunday (September 2, 2012).

Inside the RAV4 were Briyonna York, her mother Stacy Johnson, 37, her aunt Cathy Rich, 55, and a friend of Briyonna’s. Briyonna was behind the wheel while her mother Stacy was in the passenger seat. Other two were sitting in the backseat.
Cathy rich was seriously injured in the accident and died after being admitted to a nearby hospital. The injuries the other three sustained were fortunately not life threatening.
Jose Sanchez-Jurado, 23, was driving the Tacoma and there was another passenger in it at the time of the accident. They were also admitted to the hospital; nevertheless their injuries were also not serious enough to threaten life, according to the media reports.
The accident is being investigated by the Police.
